Our focus is to equip people to take Christ’s love into their homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, and among those with special needs to whom the LORD directs us. It’s about his mission of redemption, love, and relationship, and the unique expression of his love that every person is called to reveal.

Most folks in the south are unfamiliar with the Evangelical Free Church of America, even though many are familiar with the radio and publishing ministry of Chuck Swindol, the best known EFCA pastor.
The EFCA is a movement of local, autonomous churches around the world. Rather than setting out comprehensive doctrinal statement that tries to cover everything, the EFCA focuses on a few central ideas which define our orthodoxy leaving secondary or disputable areas up to the individual and communal conscience. In other words, we look for places of agreement among believers.
In a nutshell, “evangelical” means that we live out and share our love for the Lord Jesus Christ according the scriptures (which we consider authoritative for every aspect of our lives and faith). “Free” is the form of church government that split from the state churches (there is an oxymoron) of Sweden and Denmark, and believe that local congregations under the headship of Christ are sufficiently able to make their own decisions.
You can learn more about the denomination on the EFCA web site.
