Holistic Small Groups

To grow in love requires that we be in relationship with each other.  Open Table uses a variety of small group structures to nurture this important foundation of discipleship.  Family Life Group, Bible studies, Learning for Living, home groups, and other excuses to get together and grow are a part of our life together (movies, cookouts, bike rides, hikes, playing at the park...)

Please look at the calendar for current small group offerings.

Ministry Specifics:
The Family Life Group is devoted to long-term relationships in loving, discipleship-oriented life.  They seek to embody the life of the church at a more intimate depth.

Learning for Living groups are the specific teaching, dialogue, and experiential groups that focus on our core practices: generosity, hospitality, forgiveness, and risk taking. These tend to be 8-10 weeks in length.

Bible Studies are small groups that focus on learning and applying the lifestyle and lessons found in Scripture.  They are usually around 12 weeks in length.

Home Groups are more casual venues for gathering together.  They meet on an informal schedule and include regular meetings at people’s homes.

Accountability groups meet around a specific topic or need such as newly married couples, men’s group, women’s group, etc.

All small groups (with the exception of the Family Life Group) have specific time boundaries.  People are welcome to continue with any group indefinitely.  However, the groups have specific time boundaries so people have the freedom to flex and move according to their specific life circumstances and discipleship needs.

Ways to get involved:
The schedule of offerings can be found on the church calendar and in the bulletin.  Most groups are open groups, but please contact the coordinator to be sure.  If you are a teacher and would like to lead a specific type of group contact the Senior Pastor.  If you would like a specific group (divorce recovery, Bible study, whatever) and you don’t see it offered, please let the senior pastor know.  He can be reached by clicking on this link

Who to contact to get more information:
If you are interested in the Family Life Group please contact Ruth or Robert at info@opentablecommunity.org.  For all other groups please look on the church calendar or call the office at 770-451-2220.
